What growth standards does GrowWell use?

GrowWell compares each measurement to the World Health Organization Child Growth Standards. These are the same percentile curves pediatricians use worldwide for children up to five years old, and the older WHO reference for ages five and up.

The app shows real percentile bands (-3 to +3 z-scores). It does not estimate or smooth the values.

Where is my data stored? Is anything sent to the cloud?

All of your child's measurements and profile data stay on your device by default. The app does not require an account and does not sync to a server we control.

We use RevenueCat to process the GrowWell Pro one-time purchase and to verify your entitlement when you restore purchases. RevenueCat receives only the information needed to manage that purchase — never your child's measurements.

If a crash or error occurs and diagnostics are enabled, anonymized diagnostic data may be sent to Sentry. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.

Can I track more than one child?

The free version supports one child profile. GrowWell Pro unlocks unlimited child profiles and PDF growth reports for a one-time purchase — no subscription.

How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

Sign in to the same App Store account (iOS) or Google account (Android) you used for the original purchase, then open Profile → Upgrade to Pro → Restore Purchases. Your Pro entitlement should restore in a few seconds.

If it doesn't, double-check that you're signed in to the correct store account, then email us with your purchase receipt and we'll help sort it out.

I'm not getting reminders. What should I check?

Reminders rely on local notifications, which require permission. Check three things:

  • System Settings → Notifications → GrowWell — make sure notifications are Allowed.
  • In the app: Profile → Reminder. Confirm the reminder is enabled and the day/time is set.
  • Reminders use your device's time zone. If you've recently traveled, reopen the reminder screen so the schedule recalculates.
Can I export my child's growth history?

GrowWell Pro can export your child's history as a clean PDF report you can save or send to your pediatrician. Tap Profile → Backup & Restore → Export PDF.

Backup & Restore also lets you export and re-import a full data backup as a file — useful when moving to a new phone.

I reinstalled the app and my data is gone. Can it be recovered?

Because measurements live only on your device, uninstalling the app removes them. To prevent this in future, use Profile → Backup & Restore → Export Backup regularly and keep the backup file in a safe place (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or any cloud you trust).

On iOS, if you enable iCloud Backup at the system level, your app data is generally included in the device backup. On Android, the same applies for Google's automatic device backup, but we cannot guarantee restoration from those backups.

Is GrowWell a medical app?

No. GrowWell is designed for personal record keeping and family organization. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for guidance from a pediatrician or other qualified healthcare professional.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email us using the button above. Please include:

  • What you expected to happen and what actually happened.
  • Your device model and OS version (e.g. "iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.2").
  • The app version, shown at the bottom of Profile.
  • A screenshot or short screen recording when possible.

We can't reply to every feature request individually, but every one is read and considered for the roadmap.
