Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GrowWell handles information when you use the GrowWell mobile application. GrowWell is provided by Petro Sidlovskyy and is designed for parents and caregivers who want to keep personal growth records for children.
Information You Add to GrowWell
GrowWell may process information that you choose to enter in the app, including:
- Child profile details, such as name, date of birth, sex, and avatar.
- Growth records, such as height, weight, dates, and notes.
- App settings, theme choices, unit preferences, and reminder settings.
- Export or import files that you choose to create or use.
GrowWell does not ask you to provide parent or guardian contact details, medical diagnoses, insurance information, government identifiers, or payment card details in the app.
Account-Unlinked Product Analytics
When a PostHog project token is configured, GrowWell automatically sends a minimal set of product analytics to PostHog EU Cloud. There is no analytics prompt or setting. If the token is absent, analytics is inactive.
Analytics events use a random identifier generated and stored by the PostHog SDK for this app installation. GrowWell does not replace that identifier with an account, user, child, advertising, subscription, or hardware identifier. PostHog person profiles are disabled, and GrowWell never calls PostHog identity, alias, group, or person-property features. Analytics therefore remains unlinked to a GrowWell account.
The event catalog is limited to app installed, app updated, app opened, app backgrounded, onboarding completed, and screen views. Screen views use only approved static names for onboarding steps and the top-level dashboard, growth, history, and profile areas. GrowWell does not send paywall, purchase, subscription, entitlement, price, currency, product, RevenueCat, or purchase-result analytics.
Basic app and device context is limited to app version and build, operating system and version, device type and model, language and locale, PostHog SDK version, and emulator or TestFlight status. A server-side allowlist drops every unapproved event property before storage. GrowWell does not send device names, carrier or network context, user agents, screen dimensions, timezone, session identifiers, child IDs, names, dates of birth, ages, health measurements, percentiles, notes, photos, exported data, account or user IDs, email addresses, authentication data, purchase or subscription data, advertising identifiers, search or free-form text, user-supplied numbers or timestamps, or precise or IP-derived location to PostHog.
GrowWell configures PostHog to discard raw client IP data and disables GeoIP enrichment. Session replay, autocapture, surveys, feature flags, experiments, exception capture, console capture, and performance capture are disabled.
Data Deletion Requests
You can delete child profiles and growth records directly in GrowWell. Open the app, go to the child profile or record you want to remove, and use the delete action shown in the app.
If you need help deleting diagnostic or support-related data associated with GrowWell, email support@usegrowwell.com with the subject "GrowWell data deletion request". Include the platform you use and any relevant support details. Do not send child growth records, medical information, or other sensitive details by email.
Local app data that you delete in GrowWell is removed from your device. Purchase records, crash reports, diagnostic records, and platform backups may be retained by Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, Sentry, or your device platform according to their own policies and legal requirements. Because PostHog events are anonymous and account-unlinked, GrowWell cannot locate them using an account, name, or email address. Clearing local app data resets the random identifier used for future events but does not delete already retained, unlinked events.
How We Use Information
We use information you add to provide app features, including child profiles, measurement history, growth charts, comparisons with WHO growth standards, local reminders, PDF reports, and backup or import flows that you choose to use.
When configured, the minimal PostHog analytics described above helps us understand overall product health and make key app flows more reliable. It is not used to build person profiles or analyze child growth, caregiver identity, purchases, or subscriptions.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to provide medical advice.
Storage and Backups
Growth records and child profiles are stored locally on your device by default. Manual exports are created only when you choose to export data, and they may be shared or stored through operating system features that you choose to use.
If you enable platform backup features on your device, copies of app data may also be stored by platform-controlled services, such as iCloud or Android device backup, according to your device and account settings.
Purchases
GrowWell Pro purchases are processed by Google Play on Android and Apple on iOS. GrowWell does not collect or store payment card details. Purchase status and entitlement information may be processed through RevenueCat so the app can unlock Pro features and restore purchases.
Analytics, Diagnostics, and Third-Party Services
GrowWell may use third-party services for app functionality, purchases, account-unlinked product analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics. These services may process limited app, device, purchase, crash, analytics, or diagnostic data according to their own privacy practices:
- Google Play services for Android app distribution and purchases.
- Apple services for iOS app distribution and purchases.
- RevenueCat for purchase status, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
- Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics when configured.
- PostHog EU Cloud for the bounded, account-unlinked product analytics described above when configured.
International Processing and Retention
Minimal anonymous usage events are sent to PostHog EU Cloud for processing and hosting. Raw client IP data is discarded and GeoIP enrichment is disabled. PostHog may retain events according to its own policy. App stores, RevenueCat, Sentry, platform backup providers, and other providers listed above may retain or process the limited data they receive in other countries according to their own policies and legal requirements.
Children's Privacy
GrowWell is intended for use by parents and caregivers, not by children directly. If you enter information about a child, you should do so only if you are the child's parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to manage that information.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the app and its data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, operating system account, exported files, and backup settings.
Retention and Deletion
You control the information you add to GrowWell. You can update or delete child profiles and growth records in the app. You can remove local reminders, delete exported files, and change platform backup settings through your device or account settings.
Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored app data from your device and normally causes a future installation to use a new random PostHog identifier. Purchase records and related technical records may be retained by Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, or Sentry as needed for purchase restoration, accounting, fraud prevention, diagnostics, security, and legal compliance. PostHog may retain anonymous, account-unlinked events according to its own retention policy.
GrowWell does not display or associate the PostHog identifier with an account, name, or email address, so previously stored events cannot be located using those details. Clearing GrowWell's local app data resets the identifier used for future analytics events but does not delete previously retained, unlinked PostHog events.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
